ARTEMI: LA POESIA DELL'OGGETTO

Artemi è un progetto interdisciplinare che unisce esperienze e competenze diverse maturate nei campi dell'arte, del design e dell'artigianato.
Fondato nel 1999 dagli artisti Emilio Alberti e Emilia Ercoli, unisce la sperimentazione e la ricerca artistica alla realizzazione di multipli e di oggetti d'arte.

Artemi nasce da un'esigenza di creatività, di emozione. E' emozione del nuovo, della forma, del colore.
Oggetti unici realizzati con materiali e gesti antichi ma in modo innovativo, sperimentando tutte le potenzialità della materia in uno sforzo al servizio dell'espressione e dell'arte.
Oggetti creati da artisti, oltrepassano i limiti della funzione d'uso per essere semplicemente opere d'arte.
Ogni pezzo è irripetibile perché Artemi dà la priorità all'idea, alla libera espressione senza i vincoli della riproduzione seriale.

Protagonista assoluta è la passione, la sensibilità, la poesia che ogni singolo oggetto racchiude.

ARTEMI: THE POETRY OF OBJECTS

Artemi is a multidisciplinary project that joins various experiences and competence from art, design and handicraft.
Directed by Emilio Alberti and Emilia Ercoli, Italian artists with an extensive background in the visual arts: they are known artistically for their experimental and creative works, as well as their contributions to the renovation of the ancient "Raku" ceramic technique.
Their artistic vision has moved well beyond the confines of arts. They developed new theories about the perception of art and the fusion of art and life. Their internationally acclaimed work moved more and more into the area of art and concept development.

Artemi represents the merger between the istinct for artistic design and constructive technology.
When creativity goes beyond mere functionality, then objects become true works of art. Creativity first of all, the priority of the idea, emotions as a primary source without compromise.
Today's world of globalized production imposes rules of repetition, which veil art and free expression.
Artemi aims to reverse this process by placing technology and craftmanship at the service of both man and expression.
